Suela Mesquita wins January’s Exceptional People Award

Suela Mesquita

Suela Mesquita, Senior Assistant in the Pharmacy Department, has been named as the first Exceptional People Award winner of 2024.

Suela has been working at the Trust for over a year and is part of a team that ensures medicines are dispensed and delivered on time.

Suela’s colleague said: “For me, Suela puts the patients at the heart of everything she does. She gives constant feedback on what we could do to be more efficient and makes suggestions on how we could improve our practices, which was key during times of staff shortages.

“This shows her openness, consistency, collaborative nature, and her respect and compassion for patients which is always at the forefront of her work.”

Suela was delighted to be named January’s award recipient, saying: “I feel very grateful to be nominated and to win the Exceptional People Award.

“I love that here at SWLSTG, there is always something new to learn and a lot of opportunities to grow. I feel that staff are highly valued at the Trust.”

Suela will receive a certificate, a gift, and our thanks for her valued service to the Trust and patients.

Every month we recognise and reward a staff member that has made a real difference to the Trust, our people and our patients.
